Asian-inspired ceramic bowl and saguaro cactus pottery pieces

These two pieces are mine. The bowl was made by combining textured slabs with coils and balls. The glaze combo is washed back black, covered with red on the inside and a black opaque on the outside. It has kind of an Asian feel, I think. I also finally made a saguaro cactus. I had a heck of a time constructing the body portion. The flowers on top were just flat round pieces that I scrunched up into a flower shape. They were glazed in pinks, both underglaze and semitransparent. The intriguing glaze on the bottom is a combo of dark green covered with a green Jungle Gem Crystal Glaze (#8). I like the watercolor effect that generated.
